Project Runway All Stars Episode 4

The designer who was kicked off of episode 3 of Project Runway All Stars was Jordana.  Her dress for Miss Piggy was cute, but not for an opening for a movie.

For this episode, Diane Von Furstenberg tells the designers what the challenge is for this week. The designers are to make a tasteful dress that is inspired by gelato. The some of the colors are kiwi, chocolate, cantaloupe and many others.  Oh… and the designers are to make the outfit in six hours. This is the fastest challenge in all of Project Runway history.  For some, this is an easy project.  At the three hour mark, there are a few that are almost finished, the others; they are having every problem in the book. Sewing machines, hot glue and lack of fabric are bringing chaos to the lives of some of the designers.

Diane Von Furstenberg and Miranda Kerr were the guest judges and Miranda would wear the winning dress to an industry event.  Some of my fave dresses were by Jerell, Michael, and Mondo. They were all so flowy and soft and beautiful.  Mila’s dress was beautiful and it had color but it had a few imperfections.
This week’s winner is not a shocking pick… I love it.  Tonight’s elimination…. I really didn’t see that coming. I just… wow

Martin Luther King Celebration (pic heavy)

(pic heavy)
On Saturday, we went out to the TCC Southeast campus for a Martin Luther King Celebration.  Each section represented the different countries that Dr. King visited in his travels.  Each room featured music, speakers and items from all the countries.  There also were singers, dancers, and food for each country.  We were given passports and had to walk to different areas and stamps from the different areas Dr. King visited.  People of all races came together to celebrate the life of Dr. King, people showing what Dr. King not only did for them, but for everyone. It was a truly beautiful event and I can’t wait for next year’s celebration.

Project Runway All Stars ep 3

Last week we had to say good bye to one of my faves in the competition, Sweet P.  Her dress that she created was pretty, but not exactly a ball gown for the opera type of pretty.

On episode 3, the designers have to create a stunning outfit for the super fabulous Miss Piggy! All the designers are ecstatic about designing for Miss Piggy, well maybe not Anthony.   This week, Isaac wasn’t there but Eric Daman (costume designer for Gossip Girl) took his place as a judge.  Some of my personal faves of tonight were Anthony, Mila, and Austin.  Out of my 3 faves, 2 were in the top/bottom 6.
I only wish that Antony was in the top 3 because he created something that was totally different from everyone else.  Mostly everyone chose pink, pink and more pink.  I wish they would have stepped out the box more.  One of the designs that happened to be in the top 3 was a total wreck, in my opinion.

OOTD: ICRS

A few days back, I took some pics and now I can’t remember which day I took these pics… I happen to suffer from ICRS.  I can’t remember shit.  Bhahahahaha.  I absolutely love this green sweater.  It’s from Old Navy and I rock it whenever I can.

Green Sweater: Old Navy
White Shirt: I don’t remember
Jeans: Tommy Hilfiger (Macy’s)
Necklace: JC Penney’s
I live in these jeans, they make me look slimmer and I would wear these everyday if I could

Pop Culture Fashionista or Faux Fashionista: 2012 Golden Globes Fashion

Tonight is the Golden Globes awards show out in Los Angles and as much as I love me some Ricky Gervais, I just really don’t want to watch the show.  Now I did turn in for the red carpet on E! There were a ton of dresses out there that looked amazing and others, hmmm… not so much.  There was one dress that happened to be ruined by bad hair.

THE GOOD

THE UGH

AND KELLY.... girl you know better....

You be the judge.
